Absolutely, I always loved planted tanks, he took it to perfection like anything else Japanese do. Loved it very much. I have added to my wish list to be able to see the gallery with my own eyes _________________ I Hope helped by sharing, Alex.

Yes, it is fantastically soothing watching those 'natural' planted tanks. Amazing works brought to perfection yet by Japanese. Also doing this can becomes well known, like any other artists and breeders. _________________ LauLanChu

I have always been a sucker for great books. If they are coffee-table books even the better but it has to be in the language that I know of. 1st criteria if you must say.
Takashi Amano is most renown for his works and has a following of an unimaginable count worldwide almost cult like. The concept of learning from the best has always worked for me. So it was only natural for me to hunt down the latest literature from him.
What really surprises me is this, in his latest publication comprising his masterworks spanning close to 3 decades even the latest works is only available in Japanese and in German! Whatever happened to the English version?
Or was it based on an advice, that since the English speaking continents already have the 3 earlier editions of Nature Aquarium World, they are indeed "totally" contented. How far from the truth can that possibly be!
Thus I harbour great hope that Takashi Amano will eventually reconsider the English edition for all of his English followers worldwide. I also do understand that there will be difficulties perhaps like proof-reading wherein I am sure many and even myself would be honoured to assist where possible.
It is said that, "A picture paints a thousand words" but without Takashi Amano invaluable insights or inspirations into his signature creations, his works will be so full of body only lacking the "soul" or "purpose" to me, in my endeavour of trying to capture the "spirit" of grandmaster works wholeheartedly. _________________ Cheers

Having said that, infact alot of great books are in other langauge, effort in translation is not there yet. Perhaps there is a belief it should be written in the native language, discouraging translation with other reasons behind. _________________ LauLanChu

LauLanChu,
Spot on with the effort issue.
I sincerely doubt there was any hidden agenda with the translation issue; otherwise the German edition would not have been published. Besides, Takashi Amano's reputation far outweighs any possible hidden agenda. Simply too much at stake.
svnhvn,
Very nice & simple planted tank, keep it up. Have you got fishes in there? _________________ Cheers
