Is this potato or king?
I like it think its king. I like especially like the short fat peduncle? The peduncle looks even shorter because of the colour, but that to me is nice, am I wrong? If I see such a fish I would be tempted to keep top view ranchu.

Yes, the colour has masked off giving the impression of a missing peduncle. The red is also very striking.

| Yes I like that short peduncle look. The red is very good, maybe the white bowl makes it even better. |

This fish is on the 'fat' side when come to competition standard.
But, i would throw away the standard for this fish... ... it's so cute!

| Yes very cute. Maybe older fish. Today I saw one imported from Japan couldn't believe my eyes, streamline, smooth square head like a bullet, same colour as this fish but younger, tail just the same maybe a little more open at rest. Very nice movement too, quite aggressive action like a tuna, gave me a suprise. One thousand eight hundred, 358 SGD. Think cheap for such a promising fish, but too expensive for me. Can compete in Japan no problem. |
